Terms of Service

The rules for using ChronoProtein: what we offer you, what we expect from you, and what happens with the subscription.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of ChronoProtein, an application that computes a plan for distributing protein throughout the day based on your chronotype, your schedule and your goal, and that lets you log what you eat and follow your progress.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

2. Your account

  • You must be over eighteen (18) years of age to use ChronoProtein.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. A false weight or age produces a wrong plan.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
  • An account belongs to a single person. Do not share it.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the app for unlawful activity, attempt to access other people's data, subject the service to automated loads that degrade it, reverse engineer the calculation engine, or bulk extract the food catalog or any other content of the app.

4. ChronoProtein is not a medical service

ChronoProtein is an educational and personal organisation tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease, and it does not replace consultation with a licensed health professional.

Read the full health notice before following any suggestion from the app.

5. Pro subscription

  • ChronoProtein offers initial access for seven (7) days from account creation and a paid Pro subscription. Pro is charged when purchased; the subscription has no free trial period.
  • On Android, the subscription is purchased and charged through Google Play Billing. On iOS, through the App Store. On the web, through Mercado Pago or Stripe depending on the country.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price then in force, unless you cancel at least twenty-four (24) hours before renewal.
  • On the web, you can cancel renewal from the pricing page: Mercado Pago is canceled there and Stripe opens its management portal. On Android or iOS, manage it in the relevant store. You retain access until the end of the period already paid.
  • Refunds are governed by the policy of the store that processed the charge. For web purchases, we handle refund requests at soporte@chronoprotein.com.ar.
  • New published prices apply to new purchases. Any price change to an existing subscription requires the applicable notice and procedure before it is applied.
  • Variable-cost features have high fair-use limits to prevent automated abuse.
  • You can exercise withdrawal rights or request service cancellation from the public buttons on the home page, without signing in, and receive a case code on screen.

6. Intellectual property

ChronoProtein's code, design, brand, texts, icons and calculation engine belong to its owner and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms transfer no rights over them to you.

The data you enter remains yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store it, process it and display it back to you within the service.

7. Community recipe book

You can publish your own recipe saved in ChronoProtein to the community recipe book. What gets published is a copy: your recipe remains yours and you can keep editing it, and what other users see is the approved copy.

By publishing, you declare that the steps and the photo are your own work or that you have the right to publish them, and that they do not infringe third-party rights. If the recipe came from a video, a web page or a book, it is published with its source linked, which credits where it came from.

While the recipe is published, you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, reproduce and display it within the service to other users, together with the alias you choose. The licence ends when you withdraw the recipe or delete your account.

Any user can save a copy of a published recipe to their own recipe book, for personal use within the service. Those copies belong to whoever saved them and are kept even if you withdraw the recipe or delete your account; if you delete your account, they stop showing your alias.

  • Before it is shown, each recipe goes through automatic checks and is reviewed by a person, who can approve it, request changes or reject it stating the reason.
  • The numbers of a published recipe are calculated by ChronoProtein with its catalog and shown as estimates. They are not certified nutrition information or medical advice.
  • Your alias is shown, never your name, your email or your account identifier. The alias cannot include email addresses, links or phone numbers.
  • The photo is published without its metadata: location, device and date.
  • Offensive content, advertising, contact details and other people's recipes may not be published.
  • Any user can report a published recipe, and the author does not see who reported it. We may remove a recipe that breaches these terms.
  • You can withdraw a published recipe at any time from “Published”: it stops being shown right away and its public photo is deleted.

8. Third-party data in the catalog

ChronoProtein's curated catalog cites public food composition sources, among them Argenfoods from Universidad Nacional de Luján and FoodData Central from the United States Department of Agriculture.

The Argentine supermarket product layer comes from Open Food Facts and is distributed under the Open Database License (ODbL). The corresponding attribution is displayed on screen next to those products and is a requirement of that licence.

Composition values are estimates. A label may change before the database reflects it. When the app has no value for a nutrient it declares it as "no data": it never replaces it with a zero.

9. Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee it will run uninterrupted or error free. We may suspend it temporarily for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.

We may modify or discontinue features. If we discontinue a feature included in the Pro subscription, we notify you in advance.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChronoProtein is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer protection law grants you as a user, nor liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Termination

You can delete your account whenever you want, from the app or from the public deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms, giving you notice unless the law prevents it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute shall be submitted to the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to the venue that consumer protection rules may establish.
