What ChronoProtein is and is not, and when you must seek advice before following a suggestion.

1. Not a medical service

ChronoProtein is an educational and personal organisation tool for distributing protein throughout the day. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not replace the consultation, diagnosis or treatment of a licensed health professional.

The figures the app displays are estimates computed from the data you enter and from published food composition databases. They are a starting point for a conversation with your doctor or dietitian, not a clinical instruction.

2. Seek advice before using it if

  • You have chronic kidney disease or any condition requiring protein restriction: a high protein target may be contraindicated for you.
  • You have liver disease, diabetes, hypertension or any metabolic condition under treatment.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding: requirements differ from what the app computes by default.
  • You take medication that interacts with food or with meal timing, including GLP-1 analogues.
  • You have or have had an eating disorder: logging meals and counting nutrients can be counterproductive.
  • You are under eighteen (18) years of age: the app is not designed for you.

3. Emergencies

ChronoProtein does not handle emergencies. If you have a symptom that worries you, call your country's emergency service. In Argentina, 107 is the medical emergency line and 911 the general emergency line.

4. Data read from your phone's health system

If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, ChronoProtein reads weight, body fat percentage, sleep and active calories to give your plan context. Access is read-only: the app never writes to your system health record and never shares that information with third parties for advertising purposes.

You can revoke the permission at any time from your operating system settings without losing the rest of the app.

5. Logging honestly matters more than complying

ChronoProtein rewards honest logging, not compliance. If you did not eat during a window one day, or you ate out and do not know what was on the plate, the app lets you say exactly that, and it does not count as a failure. Inventing a meal so the numbers add up ruins your history and helps no one.
